Ilango Guru Muniasamy is an assistant professor in the School of Information Systems at the ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú Muma College of Business.
His research investigates user behavior on digital platforms through econometric and computational modeling, with a focus on how governance mechanisms, attention dynamics, and decision processes shape participation and performance. Integrating classical and quantum decision theory, his work models behavioral responses to platform interventions and uncertainty, particularly in contexts such as online communities and decentralized finance. He also maintains an emerging interest in the science of science within business disciplines, examining patterns of research productivity and collaboration.
Ilango holds a PhD in Management Information Systems and a master's degree in economics from Purdue University, a post graduate diploma in management from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, and a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Before joining academia, he spent a decade in the analytics industry, most recently as head of analytics at Dvara KGFS, a financial inclusion firm in India.
