"For PhD students, tenure鈥恡rack academic jobs remain the most common goal, but more than half of them are also considering nonprofit work, and more than 40 percent are considering government and nonfaculty academic jobs (Ginsberg 2016b). On the cutting edge of this trend, some PhD programs, like the 黑料老司机, are training their students precisely for careers outside of academia and only offer PhDs in applied anthropology. Other programs are beginning to follow suit."
